"Human affection is not poured forth vainly, even though it meet no return. Love enriches the nature, enlarging, purifying, and elevating it." -Science and Health pg. 57:22-24

What I've come to realize with this idea is that when we love, we're blessing the entire world with that love. Even though it sometimes seems to "meet no return," through our unselfed love, we're contributing to the WORLD'S love quota, thereby helping more people than we can possibly imagine. Talk about the ripple effect! We cannot even fathom how much good our love is doing & we cannot be punished in any way for that love. Going along with this, Mrs. Eddy also says:

"Giving does not impoverish us in the service of our Maker, neither does withholding enrich us." (Science and Health pg 79:31) 

What better way to serve our Maker than to LOVE!
